Seattle Sinkole 9

There’s always a push and pull between artists and designers to make sure the space is traversable, but also looks believable. In this one I modeled a series of broken concrete prototypes and did this image all in 3D to emulate the way the respective teams use them. I did this with hopes that I could both satisfy designs need for clearly defined walkable surfaces, and arts need for believable breakage and higher quality modular 3D pieces. Seems like it helped folks a bit, but it was a good exercise either way!
